Bladerunner / Rezolution CSO Starter Box

"Hey, you got a license for that android, mister?"

"Uhmmm....yeah, sure, it's, uhm, right here, lemme get it out for ya..."

Front cover sets some atmosphere for the CSO Crew...back cover shows it in action on the table.
Overall, I think it presents well, and the team has lots of uses in lots of settings as generic police "heavies", aka the SWAT or SERT of a larger department.

As previously stated, assembling these wasn't easy, but I'm going to say that it was worth it.  You decide for yourself if you like how they put together.

Below, the Marshal, aka my "Bladerunner" guy.  Aside from the double-breasted top to his overcoat, pretty much Harrison Ford's Deckard. Right arm was fiddly, but at least it had a peg and hole.
The wrist was the fiddly bit, and required some filing on the wrist and the hand [attached to the gun] to get them flat, then moving the left arm closer to the right.

The Troopers were much more difficult. The arms and shoulders are just smooth and need to be carefully fit and filed, with constant checks to see if they are fitting better.

The heads are also difficult - a semi-circle at neck bottom and rounded socket on the chest leave full posability possible, but also it's hard to get the head to stay where you want it.
I spent a fair amount of time, a couple of hours, putting these guys together, and figuring out HOW to put them together.  In the end, they look good but I would have preferred less posability and easier socket to square plug type assembly points.

That being said, we have "Not Deckard" and "Tech SGT Snuffy" assembled [the Tech just needed a backpack].
I kinda like how the Tech is not really paying attention. He just needs a computer screen in front of him and we'll know what he's working on.

Below, the action team.  Guy on the left is carefully advancing and aiming over his iron sights.  The dude to right is running forward for a combat roll, while shooting to his left. I'll call them Troopers Mulvaney and Ortheris.

CPL Leroyd is waving his team along, "Let's go!" he says over his shoulder.  TPR Gadsby is ready to lay down some fire.

Everyone altogether on some Infinity cardboard terrain [highly recommended!].  The APAC team was about to perform some highly illegal forced entry from the roof sensor point, when CSO interrupts on a hot anonymous tip!
Stacked up at the stairs, CPL Leroyd holds them up, while Ortheris charges away from the stairwell and into another problem!

"Contact up!" he shouts as he rolls forward.

"Banzai!" shout the APAC rear ambushers.
Deckard and Mulvaney whirl around, weapons at the ready even as the wild acrobatics of the APAC enforcers quickly close the gap. "Can you guys hold it down?" says Tech Snuffy.
"Hold up, Team!" shouts CPL Leroyd.  "Either we've run into an APAC Crew or a heavily armed dance troop..."

APAC holds the stairs.

TPR Ortheris advances, gun blazing up the stairs.
But has he noticed the precariously balanced APAC enforcer around the stair's side? Tune in next week, viewers!

Overall, I think the CSO ended in plausible and interesting poses.  Only odd thing about them is their relative size compared to the APAC team, who look like a bunch of pilates or yoga instructors.  Still, there's nothing to say that in the future the SWAT team _won't_ be a pack of big goons, and Asiatic gangsters won't be lithe martial artists, thanks to genetic manipulation and other dubiously legal body shaping methods!

Next step - spray priming the Crews...

  1. You know you "could" run these SWAT heavies as enforcers for enforcing the law in a certain underhive fighting against cannibal-crazed gangers...just saying

  2. Hmmmmm.... :) I actually just got a few more. Must assemble them and the medic and engineer! Then that will be all 10 of them, and it is on to priming...
